Born and raised in Syria, Imam Abdullah Aljabban comes from the esteemed Aljabban family, whose lineage traces back to the descendants of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His life’s mission has been defined by his unwavering dedication to faith, education, and community service.
From an early age, Imam Abdullah pursued religious scholarship under some of Syria’s most renowned scholars, deepening his knowledge of Islamic teachings. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Islamic and Arabic Studies from the University of Damascus, solidifying the foundation for his academic and spiritual journey. Seeking to expand his expertise, he moved to Kuwait, where he served as a high school teacher of Islamic Studies within the Ministry of Education. His role allowed him to shape young minds, instilling values of knowledge, faith, and personal growth. While in Kuwait, he successfully earned both his Master’s and Ph.D. in Islamic and Arabic Studies, further strengthening his expertise.
Determined to grow both personally and professionally, Imam Abdullah relocated to Orlando, Florida, embarking on a new academic pursuit. He enrolled at Valencia College, where he earned multiple degrees before continuing his studies at the University of Central Florida. His educational journey led him to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology, followed by a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy, reflecting his commitment to integrating Islamic wisdom with modern therapeutic and psychological approaches to better serve his community.
As an Imam and faith leader, Imam Abdullah has spent years guiding congregations, counseling individuals and families, and mediating conflicts through faith-based principles. His expertise in Arabic and Islamic studies, combined with his passion for education, has allowed him to cultivate deep relationships within his community. He firmly believes that faith, coupled with compassionate counseling, can transform lives, helping individuals become the best versions of themselves.
A certified expert in the Ten Qur’anic Recitations, Imam Abdullah is committed to preserving and teaching the proper recitation of the Qur’an. Over eight years of service in Orlando, he has successfully guided and graduated 30 certified students who took Ijazah in one or multiple Qiraaat, then they lead Taraweeh Prayer in many Masjids in Orlando.
His passion for fostering unity is evident in his dedication to interfaith dialogue, community outreach, and educational programs. He served as the chaplain of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at the University of Central Florida, actively participating in interfaith initiatives. His commitment to dawah (Islamic outreach) has led to over 60 individuals accepting Islam through his guidance and efforts in Orlando.

Beyond his professional work, Imam Abdullah is a devoted husband and father who finds joy in spending time with his family. He is married and deeply committed to raising his 13-year-old son, Mohammad, cherishing the bond they share and instilling values of faith, knowledge, and compassion. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, engaging in sports, and maintaining a positive and lighthearted approach to life. Imam Abdullah looks forward to connecting with Muslim professionals who share his vision of strengthening the community and nurturing the next generation of Islamic leaders.
